The International Kiko Goat Association would like to thank all the volunteers and speakers who donated their time and efforts to Kikofest 2018 in Crossville, Tennessee. Sessions included: Small Ruminant Grading and Herd Selection by Thomas Greenlee of the Rhea County Extension office, he discussed evaluating your goats condition and performance and making decisions that improve the quality of your herd. Conservation Assistance & Programs presented by David Watson, District Conservationist of the Natural Resources and Conservation Service. He gave information related to how to obtain a grant through the NRSC, and other projects. Dr Maria L. Leite Browning of Alabama A & M University set up several microscopes to give attendees the opportunity to learn how to use microscopes in order to conduct fecal counts. On Saturday, sessions included a Q & A Session with Experienced Breeders, where breeders discussed topics such as, medications, nutrition, forage, diseases, predators, etc. Boer/Kiko Cross Opportunities by Sandra Mathis highlighted the process of breeding different Boer/Kiko crosses and the assets each breed brings to the cross and the goat meat industry.
Todd Burnett provided a barbecue dinner prior to the membership meeting. During the annual membership meeting, Vicky Thacker was reinstated to the board of directors and William Chapman was elected as a new IKGA Board member. More information was given related to an IKGA Spring Convention & Sale April 12 & 13, 2019 in Kinston, NC.
There was a three way tie for the highest selling New Zealand doe for $1,000, all of which were consigned by Granville Cheatham of Nip N Tuck Farm.

Highest selling purebred doe FTA Chillie was consigned by Leonard Touchton and purchased by Jay Simmons.
